MEET THE FOUNDERS
Andrew Childers loves the theatre. From his stage debut at the age of 10, he was hooked on performing. In the ensuing decades, he has been in countless musicals, plays, cabarets, and more. Over the years, he has discovered that he enjoys working behind the scenes just as much, if not more, than being on the stage and is excited to continue building interesting, meaningful, and compelling productions as a part of Threshold Theatre Collaborative. He brings with him to this pursuit a toolbox of skills honed from a career working in politics and in various roles at nonprofit organizations. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from The Ohio State University and a Masters in Public Administration from Syracuse University. He currently works as the AVP for Institutional Giving for a human services nonprofit, and lives in Hamilton Heights with his partner, Justin, and their cat Galileo.
JJ Costabile prefers small dramatic nuance over big budgets in the theatre. He also sees a lot of it in his free time. An engineer by schooling and profession, his theatre friends are a bit puzzled how his energy efficiency day job aligns with his cheerful personality. Meanwhile his coworkers are not so surprised when they inevitably learn he sings and produces theater. JJ believes theater is at its best when it's collaborative and is proud to create a community at TTC where people feel comfortable to create magic together.
Katie Curtis-Lynch approaches theatrical production by merging her lifelong love of musical theatre with an attention to detail honed through her career as a lawyer conducting fraud and corruption investigations. A graduate of UNC - Chapel Hill with a degree in Psychology and Music (vocal performance), Katie brings a depth of experience both on- and backstage, but she has recently enjoyed focusing on the house by introducing storytelling elements that activate your senses to augment the audience experience from the moment you cross the threshold. Katie lives in Maplewood, NJ, with her husband, Jon (“Light Guy”) Lynch, their two human children, Gus and Poppy, and their dog child, Dennis the Menace.
Jordan Griffey approaches theatre by weaving together performance, design, and technology with a passion for new and daring approaches. A graduate of NYU, where he majored in Musical Theatre Vocal Performance and the Business of Entertainment, Media, and Technology, Jordan has built a multifaceted theatrical career spanning on stage roles, lighting programming, sound design, stage management, immersive performance, musical theatre, and cabaret. He balances his artistic pursuits with his role as Director of Operations at Snaplistings, a real estate marketing agency, where he brings the same mix of creativity and structure to the business world. At Threshold, Jordan is most excited about building spaces where artists can take risks, collaborate deeply, and create work that sparks conversation and connection. Much of his creative journey has been shared with his partner, Maxwel, whose support and artistry have shaped several productions. At home they’re kept happily grounded by their little floof, Callum.
Emily Spencer Munson's approach to producing musical theatre combines her love of creative, evocative storytelling with her particular brand of type-A efficiency. In her view, each moment of a theatrical experience is an opportunity to add dimension to the story and depth to its characters, and the discovery of those moments is deeply rewarding. A graduate of the University of Southern California, with a minor in Musical Theatre from the Thornton School of Music, Emily's training includes acting, vocal performance, and a wide range of dance styles and techniques. Her current focus is on shaping stories through directing and choreography, rather than performing. But don't worry - karaoke is always a yes! Emily has a J.D. from the Duke University School of Law and was a commercial litigator for several years before moving into legal marketing and business development. She lives in Sunnyside with her daughter, Snickerdoodle Eloise (a stubborn, sassy, and loving cavapoo).
